Chapel Hill, NC (May 13, 2008) - A Caribbean vacation often includes sipping refreshing concoctions poolside or beachside. To transport you back to the Caribbean, Jenmarie Coffie, an award-winning bartender at the Divi Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino in Bonaire reveals her recipes. These beverages are great for summer parties in your own backyard.
Jenmarie's creative cocktails are as colorful as the resort where she tends bar, mixing potions at the Chibi Chibi Restaurant, an open air beachfront gathering place that delights guests with its food, beverages and a multitude of tropical fish in the surf right below the restaurant.
Jenmarie was twice named "Bartender of the Year" in Bonaire, in 2006 and 2007, won a gold medal for her drink recipes at the Caribbean Hotel Association (CHA) Competition in 2006 competing against bartenders from more than 17 islands, and won again at the CHA competition in 2007! Three of her award-winning recipes are below. The Caribbean Breeze, a non-alcoholic cocktail, is even fit for a queen. When Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands visited Divi Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino in Bonaire, she enjoyed the Caribbean Breeze!
